The Cravat Compendium

Welcome to the Compendium!

Before getting started...

CAUTION DEAR READER

I am not a professional nor an expert!

This website is to be a place for me, Cravat, to compile all the random things I learn as I research for my own pleasure. I am not a historian, at best I'm an amateur or a hobbyist, but a lover of our collective history all the same. The philosophy of this page is to compassionately expore the collective stories, art, innovation, and mysteries of the ages. May we boldly go where our ancestors have illuminated the path. The rules for this site are as follows:

  1. Be Empathetic: much of the history we know today is told through the heavy obscurity of victor's bias, and as such must be analyzed with care & context.

  2. Be Curious: there will always be things outside our knowledge; ask questions, we can never assume we know the full story.

  3. Be Studious: heed the lessons of the past and learn from the mistakes of our ancestors, lest we repeat them.
