There are so many people one could potentially talk about when considering our vast and impressive history. Every country historical and modern has innovated in its own ways to both good and bad means. For the purposes of this site I will not be glorifying conquerors or tyrants, but they will be recognized for the impacts they had on geopolitics. It would be iresponsible to leave out how boundaries have been built and crossed.
None of the figures I will highlight on the links from this page are larger than reality. While extraordinary, they were humans just as mortal once as you and I. To make them into more than what they were feels like dimminishing the intensity, talent, ingenuity, and curiousity of these individuals. Humans of always had a knack for adventuring boldly into the unknown.
