What are the humanities?
Its all that humans live for.
One could say that this whole website is a tribute to the humanities. All things cultural, religous, and historical fall under the umbrella of the humanities. The true definition is rather long, and I'd recomend you research that yourself on another site, but it includes the study of all things creatively produced by humans. Enjoy a small snipit here of some examples of human creations throughout history and the various forms we have expressed ourselves.

I am a firm believer in the power of human creativity, and while the sciences are incredible, they need the level hand of the humanities to remind them logic must be balanced with care or it becomes monsterous. For all our capacity to create, we also have the capacity to destroy.
Featured Facts
The first feature length film in history was The Story of the Kelly Gang, which was an Australian black & white film first shown in 1906. Only 17 minutes of the original film survive today.
The worlds first university was founded by Fatima bint Muhammad Al-Fihriya Al-Qurashiya (فاطمة بنت محمد الفهرية القرشية) in 895 CE in Fez / Morocco. She goes by Fatima al-Fihri. When she and her sister inherited their father’s wealth she used her share to found The University of Al Qarawiynn.
